Currently the CEO, Ferdie is an experienced strategic- and business planning facilitator with exposure to different types of businesses in the energy, financial, services, manufacturing, health and agricultural industries. He has extensive private enterprise managerial experience, backed by his education at UNISA and Henley University and is well-known in the disaster management fraternity, inter alia as member of the team responsible for the drafting of the National Disaster Management Framework. During the last ten years he has been actively involved developing integrated agricultural and community development programmes. Following this integrated development approach, the development of agricultural hubs initiate community development and the enhancement of the livelihoods of all the community members.
As director of various companies like DMS NPC, Dinheiro Risk Management (Pty) Ltd and Draxin Technologies and Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd, Dr Triegaardt’s wealth of knowledge is forming the basis of strategic planning. Previous positions held includes being the Chairman of the Risk Committee at the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF), Director of Aurecon Consulting Engineers and Executive Director, Science Education Project at University of the Witwatersrand, as well as Head of School of Applied Sciences at Cape Peninsula university of Technology. Dr Triegaardt received education at various institutions like Washington University in St. Louis, York University, University of the Western Cape.
As director since 2003, Tinus is responsible for the management of the DMS education, training and development department. He received a B.Ed. and M.Ed. from RAU (now University of Johannesburg), as well as other diplomas and certificates from UNISA and University of Pretoria. He has 32 years’ experience in the education, training and development industry as facilitator, assessor and moderator and is accredited with various SETAs. He specialises in Business Continuity Management, Disaster Risk Management including Event Safety Management, Integrated Response Management, and Generic Management and also oversee training in the agriculture field.
Francis is the Operational Director at DMS NPC, which provides integrated community driven solutions for communities in need, with the aim of enhancing community resilience. Her University career began with a B.Sc. degree in ‘Environmental and Geographical Science (EGS)’, with an additional major in ‘Ocean and Atmosphere Science’. This was followed by a B.Sc. Honours in ‘Disaster Risk Science’ and an M.Phil. in ‘Disaster Risk Science’. Following her studies she explored multiple fields from Community Based Disaster Risk Programming, International response to HIV in emergencies, Environmental Management and Training and Facilitation in the Disaster Risk Management field, leading to her current position.
Koketso combines marketing with her facilitation skills and acts as facilitator and assessor for all the Skills Development Programmes presented by DMS NPC. She is accredited as assessor with various SETAs. Her previous experience as Disaster Risk Management Officer at Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality combined with financial training and experience at FNB and ABSA ensures a holistic view as presenter. Koketso received her financial and management education at Technikon Witwatersrand and the University of Witwatersrand and obtained a Diploma in Disaster Risk Management and Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Business School.
